A fine sushi and Chinese food restaurant for the Richmond area located at a strip mall with a huge parking lot. The inside isn't grand but it's what you'd expect from a moderately priced Chinese buffet - except that it has decent quality sushi for that price and other Chinese buffet options around Richmond are lacking.

It gives more of a run down feel than another Hibachi Sushi and Supreme Buffet I've been to but still is overall a solid buffet. It delivers on what you expect.

It is rare that I rate a restaurant with one star. It pains me to do this; however, I fine myself trying to be fare base on the many visits over the years that we have paid this location and the quality of the food and service having gone down for the past 10 years.

This place was once an excellent place worthy of 4 or even 5 stars. That was years and years (and I assume who knows how many owners) ago.

I recall coming to this place back in 2007 or 2008 and It was great back then....however, now....

    1) The first thing you notice, if you come at night, is that the letters that advertise the name of the restaurant have many of the letters dark or flashing. Meaning they need fixing (light bulb change maybe). This is the sign that adversities the place to those driving by. It has been like that for a long time because I recall seeing it like that about a year ago. So if they don't care about their outer look then it is possible they don't care about other things, like quality of service.

Place is seemingly clean at first glance and somewhat welcoming. Once you sit and look around you do start to see how rundown it is, not well kept, and how non clean it is. We were quickly sat.

    2) Our table was seemingly clean at first. Later we noticed that it was just probably wiped down too quickly and not well cleaned.
The waitress was also keeping many silverware bundles, dirty table-wipe rag, and other items at the end of our table for storage. They were much, much later removed at our request.

    3) I tried many dishes. Some tasted okay. I tried the oysters... while they looked fresh, they had a very weird after taste. It could have been some kind of preservative. I just don't know what it was. I tasted the sushi. Not good. The fish quality seems very lacking and the "sushi rice" used for the fish was not good.

The salmon sushi had a weird color to it. It does not look like salmon at all. See pictures below and you judge.

The worse part of this meal was that both my wife and I got very sick from this meal visit. We were "outputting" from both ends for about 24-48 hours.

We tried to trace it back to what we both had that was the same over the past days and it came down to possibly the oysters or sushi.

Needless to say that we are not be coming back to this location. When they cut cost and food quality goes down it shows. This place was once great and has down in quality over the many years. I hope they make a comeback. Please give them and try and judge for yourself at your own risk.

My friend was feeling bad that she ate a lot during the trip to Richmond and she'll gain weight. Took her for a chinese buffet at this place yesterday night. A lot of options to choose from. She ate here and was feeling bad that she ate all the calories, but luckily your food gives food poisoning. Not only she has been vomiting all day and the calories from yesterday didn't digest to her body, but she might lose more weight as she's been not eating today.

We got there fairly early in the day last week.  There are a lot of options so if variety is your jam, they've got plenty.  Well enough with the positives.  All the items we sampled we barely warm and noting was hot.  I guess we needed to order the Hibachi items for heat.

Poorly regulated temperature on buffet foods should make everyone nervous.

$10 a person for everything.  Price is right IMO.

It will be a long while before they see my money again.

Been here many many times and always satisfied.  Most of what I eat is vegetarian but I visit all buffets in the area for affordable sushi, and this is one I trust.  Always taste great and always plenty of selection, never any fear of getting sick.  Also think out of all of the buffets this has the best atmosphere.  Moved from Richmond about a year ago and if there's one thing I miss this is it.
